Well another week has flown by. We are al still training hard. We have all done our first swim competion and Tim has his next thjis weekend. Lizzie and I have the Speedo Series swim on 3rd July in Windsor.
I might try that one without a wetsuit but i will check the river water temp first. if it is 16 degrees plus i will give it a go.
Sponsorship is slow and we really need all our friends and family (and everyone else) to get on line and give, We also need to get the balance of the money to pay for the event but we have to believe it will all come in.

1st competition swim

Well, well, Tim began his outdoor swimming last week and i will get the report on that soon.
today Lizzie and i went to Eton to take part in the 1st  Swim of the outoor training for us and the 1st of the Speedo Open Water Swim Series. We both chose 3km and both did it in around the 1hour mark with Lizzie finnishing 2nd in her groupd and 157 overall whilst i managed 19th in my group and 187 overall after an awefull start.
We are both looking forward to the next one probably in Windsor 1.5km up the river and turn and down for the same 1.5km.
Not sure when Tims next event is but i will report when i know

First entry

Well, well, finally we have set p the blog.
We have all been in training for the swim and we are excited to be doing this to raise awareness and money for these charities. Children are are the focus of this fundraising venture. Besides it is going to be a good day out when we swim.
